Mission, Beliefs and Values
The JBS Institute shares the same missions, beliefs and values of the Group it belongs.
Mission
"Be the best on the things we propose to do also in the area of social liability, developing projects based on innovation, quality and ethics, contributing to the formation of an educated, enterprising and self-determined society".
Beliefs
"We believe that the capacity of accomplishment, enterprise and leadership, indispensable for the construction of a better society, requires the combination of different skills, qualifications, personal values and attitudes that can and must be developed, especially through education".
Our Values
Planning - every social action (especially in the educational field) must be previously planned, studied, have clear procedures and be evaluated.
Determination - regardless of the adverse context, the external conditions, and the power to accomplish, depends first of all, on the individual. For the JBS Institute, determination is a quality to be pursued.
Discipline - determination and discipline are connected. Being disciplined is not being submissive. It is complying and agreeing to the rules, with pride, for the common well-being.
Compromise - we believe in the word’s value, above all. Compromise is what lead people from an organization to work together, for the same ideals.
Frankness - because the truth must be the base of any human relation.
Simplicity - one of the main characteristics of the J&F Group is simplicity. The more the Group expands, the more the Institute diversifies its actions, we believe that wisdom resides in simplicity.
Respect - we believe that discipline, cooperation and organization are not conquered through fear, but through respect, which must start with self-respect.
Solidarity - in the contemporary world, where individualism prevails, the JBS Institute believes that the sense of solidarity must guide all actions impacting the society – from companies, institutes, schools or any other human organizations.
